Dedicated to improving our
environment and our communities

Toromont Cat is committed to helping our partners meet sustainability goals, regulations, and mandates in their mining operations. We do that by providing sustainable products and solutions, while participating in a circular economy that extends the lifespan of machines.

Transition to electrification

Enable the energy transition from gas and diesel powered machines to electric vehicles through equipment like our R1700 XE underground electric loader

Sustainable power

Provide more sustainable power generation solutions, using sources like solar and CHP or hydrogen

Circular economy

Extend the life of machines and components with remanufactured parts, our Certified Rebuild program, and used equipment

Data and technology

Provide technology and tools to achieve more efficient operation and maintenance

Carbon footprint assessment

Model the carbon footprint of a mine's operation and its costs, while guiding clients through options for carbon reduction with technology and electrification

Emissions compliance

Meet emissions regulations while constantly working on reducing fuel consumption

The future of mining starts now

As a global-leader in mining automation, Cat dedicates thousands of hours each year on research and development to stay on the cutting edge. That’s why Cat machines come tech-ready, with programs to increase productivity, manage equipment, and improve safety. You can choose which technology to activate up front, with the option to add more as needed.

We can also perform carbon footprint assessments to support your goals and transition to electrification.

Partnering with indigenous communities

We take our social responsibilities seriously - that's why we have partnered with First Nations and Inuit communities in the places where we operate. In addition to employment opportunites, including the sponsorship of Apprenticeship Programs for skilled trades and product support opportunities, we work hand in hand with local communities to forge mutually beneficial partnerships where mining operations benefit the indigenous peoples, as well as our clients.
