Canada Post Strike

Important notice

November 29, 2024

The ongoing Canada Post strike continues to impact inbound and outbound mail delivery, including receipt of invoices, monthly statements, and cheque payments.

For Customers

To ensure minimal disruption during this time, we strongly recommend switching to our state-of-the-art electronic invoice and statement option, (Toromont Hub), if you haven’t done so already.

Electronic Statements / Invoices

Toromont Hub allows you to access your invoices and statements real-time and is not only cost-effective and eco-friendly, but also quick, efficient and will prepare you for any possible Canada Post disruptions in the future.

To register please visit https://hub.toromont.com/register

While most of our business won’t be affected by the strike, we are anticipating some delays when delivering paper receipts of invoices and monthly statements.

Note that only customers who prefer to only receive paper copies will be affected.

Payments

To stay on top of your payments, customers who pay by cheque have 3 available options:

  1. Online Bill Payment Through Bank

Online payment through most financial institutions. Simply select the option Bill Pay, add “TOROMONT CAT” as the payee and use your account number to make a payment.

    • This option may take up to 3-5 business days to be processed.
    • Please send your remittance details to payments@toromont.com
  2. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

You can choose to pay us via EFT, if already enrolled.

    • If you prefer to convert to EFT payment, please send us your form, along with a void cheque, and we will fill it out for you and have it processed.
    • Please send your remittance details to payments@toromont.com

  3. Cheque

If you’d prefer to pay by cheque, you can drop your cheque off at any branch location and we will be happy to process your payment.

Click here to locate your nearest branch.

For Vendors

While we’re doing our best to avoid disruptions to service, please be advised that the strike may delay payments made by cheque.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

To prevent further disruption during this time, we strongly encourage you to sign up for a no-cost Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment option, through a third-party provider called Convera Payee Manager Solution.

This EFT conversion from cheques has been an ongoing initiative of ours, with many benefits, including faster, more convenient payments directly to your bank, not to mention no impact to you in the future for disruptions.

To enroll, simply fill out this EFT form and email it to eft@toromontcat.com along with a void cheque.

  • This void cheque is only to assist us in final verification once you create an account with our 3rd party payment provider (Convera).
  • Sending us this void cheque does not mean your process is complete – it just speeds up the process and ensures accuracy

Given the influx of conversion requests we are expecting, there might be some delays in processing, so we ask for your patience and understanding in advance.

  • Once we have received your request, we will send you a link that you must use to register directly on the Convera platform.
  • We cannot complete registration on your behalf for security and privacy reasons.

If you have already enrolled for EFT, your payments will be processed as usual.

For any EFT-related inquires, please contact us via email at eft@toromontcat.com or via phone at 514-630-3100 ext. 2258 (Jessica).

For general payment inquiries, please email us at apgeneralinquiries@toromont.com

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this difficult, unforeseen period of disruption.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
Toromont Cat
