1. Complete the form
To register for the program, complete the form and attach a copy of your mechanics certification or diploma. Toromont Cat will assist you throughout your training, until you become a licenced heavy equipment technician.
2. Start working
Immediately start working on heavy equipment while being supervised by our certified technicians and instructors. You will need to accumulate experience, skills, and hours, up to a total of 7,000 hours (or less, depending on your level of education and experience. Some hours may be credited).
3. Get certified
Once your apprenticeship hours have been completed, Toromont Cat will help you earn your Red Seal certification. You will then be able to choose where you’d like to work (in Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes...) and how (in the workshop, on the construction site, or on rotation). Toromont Cat will also continue to support you through ongoing training on the latest technologies and techniques!
